Turning it off for 5-7 minutes, and then turning it back on is a common fix for connectivity issues on PS5
Update the Game
Check for Updates:*Make sure the game is updated to the latest version. Developers frequently release patches to fix bugs and stability issues.
Highlight Helldivers 2 on the PS5 home screen, press the `Options` button, and select **Check for Update.
Update Your PS5 System Software
System Update: Ensure that your PS5 is running the latest system software. Sony often releases updates that include performance improvements and bug fixes.
Go to Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings > Update System Software.
Clear Cache and Rebuild Database
Clear Cache: Restart your PS5 in Safe Mode and clear the system cache, which can sometimes resolve crashing issues.
Turn off your PS5 completely, then hold the power button until you hear a second beep (about 7 seconds). Connect your controller with a USB cable and select Clear Cache and Rebuild Database.
Rebuild Database: This can fix any corrupted files or issues within the system software that might be causing crashes.
In the same Safe Mode menu, select Rebuild Database.
Check for Corrupted Data
Delete and Reinstall the Game: Sometimes the game data can become corrupted, leading to crashes. Deleting and reinstalling the game can resolve this.
Go to Settings > Storage > Games and Apps, find _Helldivers 2_, and delete it. Then, reinstall it from your library.
Check for Overheating
Ensure Proper Ventilation: Overheating can cause your PS5 to crash. Make sure your console has adequate ventilation and isn’t placed in a confined space. Clean any dust from the vents.
Use a Cooling Stand: Consider using a cooling stand if overheating seems to be an issue.
Adjust In-Game Settings
Lower Graphics Settings: If the game allows you to adjust settings, try lowering them to reduce the strain on the system.
Disable HDR/4K: If you’re playing in 4K or with HDR enabled, try disabling these features to see if it improves stability.
Check for External Conflicts
Disconnect External Devices: If you have any external devices connected (such as USB drives, external hard drives, or VR headsets), disconnect them to see if they’re causing conflicts.
Turn Off Rest Mode: If your PS5 frequently crashes after Rest Mode, try disabling Rest Mode in the settings or fully shut down the console when not in use.
