The following effects take place when you block a player via the in-game social menu:
- We record the fact that you have blocked the player in our servers.
- The blocked player cannot directly join any sessions you are hosting, and vice versa.
- The blocked player cannot matchmake into any sessions you are hosting, and vice versa.
- You will not hear or see any voice or text chat from the blocked player.
In rare instances, it is possible for you and the blocked player to matchmake (or directly join) a lobby that another player is hosting. In this situation, you will both be present in the same lobby.
To block a player:
- Press the Escape key on mouse & keyboard, or the Options button on PS5, to open the in-game menu
- If the user you wish to block is currently in your squad, click on their username under the 'Squad' header, then select 'Block'
- If the user is on your friend list, press the E key, or R1, after opening the in-game menu to access the social menu. Click on the user in your friend list and select 'Block'
- If the user is not your friend, but someone you recently played with, access the 'Recent Players' menu, which is found beneath the 'Friends' section on the social menu. Click on the user and select 'Block'
You can see any players you have blocked via the 'Blocked Players' section of the social menu. From here, you can also choose to unblock any currently blocked players.
