Reset the graphics settings to get it going again. You can do this by going to:

C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Arrowhead\Helldivers

Inside that folder is a user_settings.config file. Just delete it and fire up the game. The appdata folder is hidden though so you will have to make hidden folders visible in windows folder options.

Once you have it back up and running just run it in borderless windowed mode instead of fullscreen and it should be fine.
