Why Is There So Much DLC?

Helldivers was released on PlayStation nearly a year before it was available on Steam. In that time we were able to listen to the community's suggestions and create DLC which reflected the community's wishes. 

All DLC was available to Steam players from the start, which is why it seemed like there was a lot from release.
